This pretty country refugee is part of a rare and unique restoration Project of an entire rural village in the Algarve. Situated at Vila do Bispo, in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, this village comprises 24 rebuilt country houses, each poetically named after the most beautiful beaches of this region. The rebuilding project tried to keep the houses authentic materials and traditional rustic style.
Within this traditional village, this pretty lodging in one of the houses has three spacious bedrooms (2 King size and 2 set of bunk beds), two bath or shower areas, a fully-equipped kitchenette, a traditionally furnished modern living-room, offering seclusion, utmost privacy and modern comfort. A cordial patio with a barbecue area is ideal for outdoor meals, or a simple get together with family or friends. With their white façades and colorful doors, these houses look like an enchanted nativity scene…
Besides a restaurant, and a gourmet grocery store, the village has its local vegetable garden. A local resident is responsible for the veggies and fruits that guests eat during their stay. He supplies the local grocery store, but it is always possible to buy the vegetables straight from the garden and taste fresh earth products.
Multiple active village tourism programs are available, also targeted to families and senior citizens, amidst a traditional rural environment melted in a scenic coastline. VW Camper and bicycles can be rented to follow the slow village rhythm or ride along nature’s offers. Besides, surfing, sunbathing, fishing, swimming, golfing, or even sunset watching are among many of the attractive outdoor activities.
